What you’ll do
The Business Systems Analyst will serve as the bridge between our financial and sales operations and technology systems, ensuring revenue data flows accurately throughout our organization. You will analyze complex data sets, improve processes, and provide insights that drive business decisions. This role requires a solid knowledge of various software systems, platforms, and tools, as well as the principles and methods of system integration, maintenance, and security. Working across departments, you will provide valuable insights that help in strategic decision-making and revenue optimization.
Responsibilities
- Place a strong emphasis on maintaining existing data sources, naming conventions, tools, and structures.
- Collaborate with teams to uphold data integrity in reports, tools, and structures.
- Support the ongoing implementation and maintenance of processes and products crucial to data integrity.
- Maintain the documentation and records of the system configuration, changes, and incidents.
- Analyze revenue streams and financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Develop and maintain revenue tracking systems and reporting dashboards.
- Collaborate with finance, sales, and product teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and reporting.
- Conduct regular audits of billing systems and processes to identify inefficiencies or errors.
- Recommend improvements to existing revenue management processes and systems.
- Other duties as needed to evolve this position.
What you will bring
- Degree in Computer Science, Finance or Accounting, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 2-5 years of experience in a business systems support role, with a strong understanding of ERP, CRM, or other business systems.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and testing skills
- Familiarity with Agile project management and tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights
- Experience with data visualization tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Advanced Excel/spreadsheet proficiency
- Experience with financial systems and revenue management software (Quickbooks, Workday, etc.)
- Strong data analysis skills and experience with large data sets and data warehouses
- Good understanding of financial principles and processes
